Lion Mane Word Illustration

Once again the animal that I respect the most in the animal kingdom is the Lion. I was commissioned to create this piece fro the Black Student Union at the University of Washington Tacoma. They wanted a knew logo and t-shirt design for their organization. The words were used as the mane because I feel like the mane of the Lion is part of its majestic aura. The mane shows the maturity of the male lion and the words used is about us maturing in community, compassion, love, understanding and caring towards one another.
