Jimi Hendrix Word Illustration Portrait

Truly a man who died too early, Jimi Hendrix was an African American musician that had talent pouring out of him. I really appreciated his skill on the guitar and I wanted to take his words from his songs and create this portrait to show the suffering he sang about. When reading his words and listening to his lyrics, I can tell that this man was in constant conflict in his heart. His life is a reminder of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse that is accustomed to the culture of Hollywood. Once you enter, it’s hard to leave.
